The adidas Yeezy 500 fuses the German brand’s retro design principles with Kanye West’s affinity for future industrialism. Featured in Stone mesh, this version, released in November 2019, features tonal suede and leather panels, matching laces threaded through a tongue overlay, and reflective piping. The shoe uses a distinctive midsole with Adiprene technology for cushioned support and a curved rubber outsole.

Kanye West and adidas released the Yeezy 500 ‘Utility Black’ in July 2018. The retro-inspired silhouette offsets its bulky shape with a sleek all-black design. What sets this colorway apart from the standard triple-black finish is a singular use of the shade: it’s a semi-faded black that coats the mesh and suede combination on the upper, as opposed to the shade-black variety that’s more common on the firmament of sneakers.

The adidas Yeezy 700 V3 ‘Clay Brown’ makes use of a monofilament engineered mesh upper in a mostly black finish, accented with brown stripes that run along the side panels. They’re visible in the open spaces of the RPU cage that adds structure – and a distinctly futuristic aesthetic – to the shoe’s bootie-like construction. The chunky EVA midsole is encapsulated in a durable PU wrap and reinforced by a herringbone-patterned rubber outsole.

The adidas Yeezy 700 V3 ‘Safflower’ features a primarily neutral color scheme in keeping with the Yeezy brand’s signature palette. Subtle pops of color arrive via yellow striations along the monofilament engineered mesh upper, overlaid with a glow-in-the-dark RPU cage that stretches from heel to toe. The shoe’s inner bootie construction is presented in a contrasting black finish, offering a snug and comfortable fit. A PU-encapsulated EVA midsole anchors the streamlined silhouette.
