The Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG is a work of nostalgia, modernizing the hallmarks of the 1985 icon to honor the arc of Michael Jordan’s legendary career. Debuted in August 2019, this ‘Obsidian’ version pays homage to MJ’s college alma mater via a team-inspired color block palette on the leather upper. Matching brand notes and Swooshes play a role in the tribute. A Nike Air-infused midsole and circular rubber outsole provide classic comfort and traction.
The Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG ‘Shattered Backboard 3.0’ reprises a coveted colorway inspired by a Michael Jordan matte that took place during a Nike exhibition game in 1985. The shoe colorway of Black, Pale Vanilla and Starfish matches with the colors of the jersey that MJ wore that day. Released in October 2019, this third edition of the sneaker features a crinkled, shiny patent leather upper that alludes to the shattered glass of the hoop, a fitting tribute to an early iconic moment.
Made in collaboration with Virgil Abloh’s luxury streetwear brand, the Off-White x Women’s Air Jordan 4 SP ‘Sail’ offers an understated take on the classic silhouette. The deconstructed leather upper is presented in a monochrome off-white finish, with semi-translucent TPU details on the molded eyelets, structural ‘wings’ and Nike Air-branded heel panel. Signature Abloh embellishments include a tonal zip tie and “AIR” printed above the visible Air sole unit.
Released in May 2017, the 2017 Air Jordan 4 Retro ‘Pure Money’ features a White leather upper with a White rubber outsole. First introduced in 2006, this 2017 version of the colourway also features chrome eyelets, a chrome Jumpman on the heel and ‘Pure $’ inside the rear tabs.
